Introduction

Broome Bird Observatory is located near (Roebuck Bay), the eastern outskirts of (Broome), in the tourist coastal city of (Kimberley Region) in the Kimberley region of northern Western Australia, about 20 kilometers from Broome.

Broome Bird Observatory is an educational, scientific and recreational bird habitat and observation site. It is also one of the best bird watching sites in the world. It was founded in 1988 and opened to the public in 1990.

The Broome Bird Observatory region is home to an astonishing number of birds, accounting for more than 40 percent of all Australia's species. The observatory is designed to protect migratory waterbirds in the region and to facilitate scientific research. You may see some of these birds as you hike through beaches, mangroves, mud beaches, tropical woodlands and grasslands. The best time to watch birds is from September to April, where tens of thousands of migratory birds from Siberia will stay for the winter. A total of more than 300 species, more than 1.5 billion birds gathered here, colorful, thousands of postures, spectacular scenes. Some of them soar in the sky, some in the water foraging, some standing in the branches singing, some playing with each other, a harmonious scene. These naughty birds hold a concert from time to time, the loud birds singing chorus not only do not feel messy, but a bit crisp, a little loud, a little tactful, let a long time aftertaste.
