Tweed Headads, a coastal town on the northeast coast of New South Wales, is at the junction with the Coolangatta, a suburb of Gold Coast, the second-largest city of Queensland, where the Airport Terminal of the Gold Coast is located on the Queensland side, but the runway is across Queensland and New South Wales for two weeks.
Tweed Heads is located on the (Tweed River) side of the Tweed River, and because, Tweed Heads, near the Queensland border, is often referred to as a cross-time town, this is due to the fact that every year Daylight savings time is introduced in New York and not enforced in Queensland. It also gives a one-hour jet lag between the two states, which can be celebrated again after Tweed Heads, people simply cross the road and reach Queensland after celebrating the New year.
