Kyneton is a small town in the Southern Victoria region of Macedon Range, about 85 kilometers from the Victorian capital, Melbourne.
Kyneton was built in 1850, earlier than the rise of the gold rush in the region, the town along the Campappie River (Campaspe River), full of walkways and gardens, quiet and beautiful.
Macedon range is the largest per capita artist in Victoria. Kyneton has a changing season and passionate coffee culture, where many artists and craftsmen live and work.
In addition, Kyneton is far from the populous area and has very low light pollution levels, making it one of the best places to observe the starry sky in Victoria. (Cobaw Plateau), a nearby Comba Plateau, has more than 500ha astronomical observation facilities.
Kyneton is famous for its daffodils and has a long history of growing daffodils. (Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival), the Kyneton daffodils and arts festival held every September, is the most important festival and symbol in the town. It was first held in the 1950s and has a history of more than 60 years. The festival will have a variety of art exhibitions around the theme of daffodils. Many local private gardens will also be open to tourists during the festival.
