Inverloch is a coastal town in southern Victoria, about 150km by car from Victoria's capital, Melbourne, with a permanent population of about 5000.
Inverloch is a popular holiday destination, with endless beaches on the beach, calm seas for swimming, sailing and surfing, and an aquatic product called PiPis (similar to oysters) on the beach. Tens of thousands of people go to the beach before and after the holy saliva festival, some towing trailers, some with tents, and a few days in trailers and camping camps, enjoying the sun, sand and waves.
