Introduction

Dimboola is an inland town in (Wimmera region), western Victoria, about 330km from Melbourne, the capital of Victoria, and 390km from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, with a resident population of less than 2000.

Dimboola was built along the Vemora River (Wimmera River), and the town's name "Dimboola" is thought to come from the native language: Sinhalese (Sinhalese), means "(Land of Figs), the land of figs." A large number of fruit trees, many of them fig trees, are planted in the local garden.

Dimboola is the eastern gateway to (Little Desert National Park) in small Desert National Park, in addition to the Dimboola pink lake (Loch Iel (Pink Lake) L.R., located in the north of the town) Covering an area of about 45 hectares, it is a very ancient salt lake. Every summer, under the action of red pigment secreted by microalgae, the lake degenerates into gentle pink and reveals its full air in the surrounding flowers, plants and trees. It is the most attractive tourist attraction of Dimboola.
