A diving man drowned in the waters of the Monington Peninsula (Photo No. 9)
A diver was found dead at the bottom of the sea off (Mornington Peninsula), Monington Peninsula, on Sunday.
At about 5 p.m. on Feb. 10, Victoria police received reports of a diving man missing in the waters off David Bay Road near (Daveys Bay Road) and failing to return to shore, Radio 9 reported.
The authorities immediately launched an air and water search operation and found the man`s body on the sea floor at about 6 p.m. That day.
The man`s identity has not been officially confirmed and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
Between December 1, 2018 and February 4, 2018, 22 people drowned in the waters of the state, a disastrous summer, according to the Victoria Life Saving Society, (Lifesaving Victoria).
