Melbourne Park, 300 people revelled late at night, the police sent out to disperse

Police were forced to use pepper spray to disperse the noisy party after hundreds of revelers gathered late at (Port Melbourne) Park in Port Melbourne.

At about 01:30 today, local police in Port Melbourne received a noise complaint and rushed to West Gate Park (Westgate Park)., the Pioneer Sun reported.

When police arrived at the park, they found about 300 revelers at the scene, and several DJ were using loudspeakers.

Public order Emergency response team (Public Order Response Team) and Dog team (Dog Squad) were summoned to the scene to disperse the revelers. The police used pepper spray during the operation.

A 20-year-old woman from (Wangaratta), Wangarata, was hit in the head by a bottle and sent to medical treatment.

The 21-year-old organiser of the event, (Northcote), police from Northcott, has released him after talking to him, pending further investigation.

In addition, there are 4 men on the scene for violations and issued notice of infringement.
