Westgate Park is located in the western suburb of Victoria's capital, Melbourne, Melbourne Harbour (Port Melbourne), is about 5 kilometers from the city of Melbourne, covers an area of about 41 hectares.
Westgate Park is located at the entrance of (Yarra River) of the Yala River, and the West Gate Bridge (West Gate Brige) crossing the Yala River crosses the park. Westgate Park is a city park dominated by a wetland environment, with several wetland salt lakes large and small in the park. When the sun sets, Yu Hui reflects on the lake, throwing a layer of pink gauze on the surface of the lake, forming a spectacular view of the city skyline lake, and in summer, the lake water here will become lipstick-like pink, especially beautiful. This is due to photosynthesis and the high salinity of the lake, which produces red pigments (β-carotene) from algae that grow in the salt layers of the lake. There are picnic barbecue facilities in the park for free use.
