Radio 9: Trump warns Australia and the world

The 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, used his sworn-in speech to warn Australia and other countries that a new American era has begun.

No matter America`s old allies, trading partners, and connected nations, no matter how powerful you are, as the winds in Washington change, the world is beginning to adapt to the new president.

The President of Mr. Trump told the people in his inauguration that every decision he had done in the next four years was based on the priority of the United States.

The world thought Trump`s stance would soften when he took office, but from his speech this morning, that expectation fell short.

It also gives Canberra and the rest of the world a warning that what he will implement in the future will be a very tough, US-centric goverment..

While sitting next to President Barack Obama this morning, he said we are gathered here today to issue new executive orders to every city. From today on, a new vision will shine across America.

From today on, all our policies are based on America`s first priority and America`s first priority.

In formulating policies such as trade, taxation and immigration, we will take the United States first and will benefit American workers and American families.

In his speech this morning, he did not mention Russia or China.

When Trump ran for president, he specifically named allies Japan, South Korea and some European countries, saying they did not try to build their own national defense, relying only on the United States to protect them.

He also threatened China during the campaign to impose a special tariff of 45% on imports from China.

If he really wants to do this, he will certainly cause a global uproar, and Australia will certainly be affected.

When he came to power, the first presidential executive order he signed was to order the United States to withdraw from the Pan-Pacific Cooperation Agreement.

The deal is a free-trade deal signed by former President Obama and signed by Australia, New Zealand, Japan and eight other countries.

Over the past few decades, we have fattened foreign industries at the expense of American industry and subsidised the armies of other countries, he adamantly said.

At the same time, our army was consumed with great sorrow and sank.

We defended the borders of other countries, but at the same time refused to defend our borders.

We spend trillions of dollars overseas to protect other countries, and America`s infrastructure has been out of repair and rotting for years.

We have made other countries very rich, and our own wealth, strength and confidence have disappeared below the horizon.
