Last August, Victoria government allocated A $1.24 billion to launch a "solar panel subsidy project" (Solar Panel Rebate).
To put it simply, government paid half the money to help Virginia families install a rooftop solar panel. The starting point of the project was good, but some solar installation companies are making money regardless of consequences.
For example, they will try to persuade you to install a set of rooftop solar panels by telephone or door to door.

This year, WorkSafe inspectors inspected 72 solar panel installations in Victoria. Finally, the installation of 15 locations was stopped and 28 other locations were asked for improvement.

Julie Nielsen, a head of WorkSafe, says regardless of security is likely to have fatal consequences. Last year, a worker at an installation company fell off a 5-meter roof and broke nine ribs and neck bones for failing to take protective measures.
In the end, the company was fined $70000.
Another company was fined $30, 000 for a similar problem.
