Warning! Want to apply for a solar subsidy from government, Victoria? Be careful not to be fooled by this trick.

Be sure to choose an installation company approved by government!

Last August, Victoria government allocated A $1.24 billion to launch a "solar panel subsidy project" (Solar Panel Rebate).

To put it simply, government paid half the money to help Virginia families install a rooftop solar panel. The starting point of the project was good, but some solar installation companies are making money regardless of consequences.

For example, they will try to persuade you to install a set of rooftop solar panels by telephone or door to door.

It's particularly good to tell you before pretending, but in the process of pretending, you have to pay extra for this and that, too. In the end, you not only didn't save money, but also spent a lot of wrong money.

Or, they did not strictly follow the regulations in the installation process to take protective measures. A 40-year-old worker fell off a 4.5-meter-high roof during installation because of inadequate safety measures and was taken to hospital.

Another worker in his 20s was hit in the head and injured by a drill handed over by a colleague.

This year, WorkSafe inspectors inspected 72 solar panel installations in Victoria. Finally, the installation of 15 locations was stopped and 28 other locations were asked for improvement.

The reasons are all out of safety concerns.

Julie Nielsen, a head of WorkSafe, says regardless of security is likely to have fatal consequences. Last year, a worker at an installation company fell off a 5-meter roof and broke nine ribs and neck bones for failing to take protective measures.

In the end, the company was fined $70000.

Another company was fined $30, 000 for a similar problem.

Xiaowei also used to remind everyone that, in order to ensure safety and quality, the solar subsidy project must be carried out by an installation company approved by government, according to government regulations in Victoria.

You can log on to the website of government, Victoria, and look for an installation company closer to your home:
