In the past, it was well known that when international students and PR holders switched flights or on domestic flights, everything was fine with their passports and visas.

But if you do this the next time you return home, I'm afraid you'll be upset with marijuana:

From May 8 this year, if you only know how to show your passport when you return home by plane, you will probably be denied entry!

1. New rules: identity cards are required to enter the country

Recently, the State Administration of Civil Aviation has issued a new Civil Aviation Safety Inspection Regulation, which clearly specifies the document requirements for flying an aircraft.

Read this:

If you are a foreign student, you only have your passport with you and your ID card when you transfer? I'm sorry, I can't let you go.

If you are a PR holder with an ID card, but it has expired? I'm sorry, but I can't let it go either.

Special attention should be paid to the fact that high school students who are under 18 years of age, if they do not have an ID card, can also replace it with the original birth certificate when they are under 18 years of age. The overseas student ID card cannot be used because it cannot be notarized at home, so it cannot be used.

Of course, if you are already Australian, then this rule is no longer applicable. Naturalized persons may continue to board the plane using Australian passports in accordance with the requirements of foreigners.

In other words, as long as you do not formally join the nationality of another country, the only entry certificate to return to China is your ID card!

2. What if I don't have an ID?

The new deal came suddenly and caught a lot of people by surprise. For example, the editor who is now in Australia is in a panic, how to do next time to return home?

And many of the editor's friends also expressed panic: my ID card seems to have been left at home, what to do? In foreign countries, I can not let my family send my identity card ah!

Don't worry, don't be afraid. According to the regulations of the General Administration of Civil Aviation, you can use the temporary ID card!

So what is "temporary ID" something?

In fact, this is a 10-day short-term identity card, provided to the lost identity card for short-term identification. For overseas business travelers, in the domestic flight is enough.

So how do I handle this document?

Editor here also arranged for everyone to handle a teaching, convenient for us to return to use.

Step 1: go to the airport duty manager's desk for questioning. The staff will sort out your reservations and print them for you. This is the most important step for a temporary ID card.

Step 2: take your passport with you, book your seat to the airport police station, line up for a photo (or you have a photo of yourself).

Step 3: after the photo has been printed, the police will confirm your ID information based on your order information and suggest that you mark your ID number on your mobile phone in order to shorten the certificate time.

Step 4: print the certificate, then you can make a transfer.

In short, when we handle temporary identity cards, we need to prepare their own ID number, booking order these two documents that can prove their identity.

However, it is important to remind you that if you need to connect with each other in China, you must do a temporary ID card in advance!

Once you have limited transit time, or are not sure if you can find the police uncles at that time, be sure to arrive at the airport an hour earlier than usual on the first voyage, get your papers ready in advance, and be more comfortable when you transfer.

If you have to do temporary ID card processing in the middle of the way for a variety of reasons, be sure to keep in mind the process above, or store it in your mobile phone at any time!

It also needs to be reminded that the certificate will charge 30 yuan for a fee that can be paid free of charge if there is a domestic bank card or RMB cash.

If you only have a Visa card, a 2% pro-rata fee will also be deducted. .

But in order to go home smoothly, let's do it!

By the way, the editor reminded me again that the new regulations came into effect on May 8th.

This also coincides with the return of overseas students and the peak period of Chinese family visits, so we must pay attention to it!

I hope you can successfully hold valid identity documents to pass the customs, go home smoothly, and family reunion!
