How to distinguish the validity period and stay period of Chinese Visa

In our daily border inspection work, we often find that some foreign friends mistakenly judge the validity or stay of a Chinese visa, and inadvertently become an illegal resident in China. So next, let's take a look at how to calculate the validity and stay of a Chinese visa!

"how long can I stay in China?"

"what day is my visa valid?"

"how long can you stay in China for the first time after the visa extension?"

First of all, what is the validity of a visa and the period of stay

Taking the old Chinese visa issued abroad as an example

Validity ("enter before" / "expiry date"): the period of time in which the visa held by the holder is valid for entry into the country. Unless specified by the issuing authority, the visa shall take effect from the date of issue and shall expire at 24:00 Beijing time on the expiration date.

Period of stay ("duration of each stay"): the time limit within which the holder is allowed to stay on each entry, beginning with the day following entry.

Main points: when can you enter the country at the latest depends on the validity period

The length of stay after entry should depend on the period of stay

Other foreign offices are valid for issuance abroad: from December 18, 2017 to March 18, 2018, 24:00, and from December 18, 2017 to December 18, 2018 (December 18).

Stay: 30 days. For example, if you enter China on March 18, 2018, the suspension period begins on March 19, and you have to leave China 30 days later, before 24:00 on April 17.

Extended, renewed, reissued visit visa

Valid: from 1 July 2013 to 24:00, 30 December 2013.

Duration of stay (note box information should be taken into account, with slightly different circumstances, as an example of a visa):

(I) for the first time until 15 July 2013;

(2) the second re-entry on this visa will change the stay period to 30 days!

The visa is valid for foreigners and stays for the same period. The holder may leave China from July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014 at an unlimited number of times, but leave China before 24:00 on June 30.

This section is a new version of the permanent residence identity card of foreigners this fierce! Foreigners holding permanent residence identity cards shall not be subject to restrictions on their stay in China. But remember to apply for a new issue within 1 month before the expiration of the above-mentioned documents!

(分析研究经验做出结论) sum up

In the case of a short-term China visa, the holder can enter China from the date of issuance of the visa, and the suspension period begins the day after the visa is issued.

If it is a residence permit or a permanent residence permit, you only need to pay attention to the validity period, and within the period of validity, you can enter and leave China unlimited number of times. (source: national Migration Administration)
