The psychologist died in his garage, and the killer was suspected to be his ex-husband.

According to 9NEWS, Samantha Fraser was found dead last month at her home in (Phillip Island), Philip Island. Her ex-husband allegedly used a cell phone registered under a fake name, but the phone was found located on Philip Island after Samantha's death.

Samantha, a 38-year-old mother, was found dead on July 23 in Cowes's Seagrove Way garage. She should have picked up the children home from school that day, but she didn't show up.

Yesterday, police raided the deceased's ex-husband, 41-year-old Adrian Basham, and charged him with a murder charge.

Meanwhile, officials released a surveillance video near the scene of the crime, showing a masked man sneaking into the victim's home on July 23, the day of the crime, before escaping on a motorcycle.

The escape time was about noon on the same day.

Police said Adrian had purchased and registered a phone under another name, which was positioned on Philip Island on the day of the incident.

Police are investigating suspect DNA, and a scratch found on the nose of his ex-husband Adrian.

Yesterday, Adrian appeared in Bairnsdale Magistrates court. Detective Tim Day told reporters that the police had identified the man in the video as the murderer and stressed that they were now investigating whether the man was Adrian.

Court learned that police wanted a oral test on Adrian to compare the suspect found at the scene, DNA, but Adrian declined to take the test.
