Perth was smoky this morning! Air quality plummeted fourfold!

As soon as we went out this morning, I believe we all saw this:

The smoke that permeates the Perth region not only reduces visibility, but also makes the world's No. 1 Australian air pyrotechnic and even a little choking. So where did the smoke like haze come from?

Yesterday afternoon, due to planned incineration, Perth's park and wildlife protection department issued a smoke warning for the huge triangular area between Two Rocks, Rockingham and Perth Hills.

Planned incineration: refers to the planned use of incineration methods in specified areas under specific environmental conditions in order to achieve the desired results.

Large-scale incineration would have produced a lot of smoke, along with extremely low temperatures and huge air humidity this morning, leading to even more significant smoke concentrations. Although the incineration is now over, smoke alarms continue in many places, including Perth.

While Perth's smog is expected to dissipate around noon, a new round of planned incineration will take place around Perth this afternoon, so it is possible that Perth will still be covered by smoke tomorrow.

Smoke affects visibility and, of course, air quality, with Perth's air index at 78 this morning, up four-fold from below 20. Under such circumstances, the relevant departments suggest that we should try not to do outdoor activities as far as possible. If you have respiratory or cardiovascular disease, it is recommended that you try not to go out, stay indoors and close doors and windows.

In fact, in May of each year, Perth plans to burn, in the same period last year, Perth also ushered in a similar thick fog.

So, before planning a trip or outdoor activity in May, please log in to the park and wildlife department and fire and emergency services official Twitter for smoke warnings.
