Drivers and motorists were surprised by a koala in the drought-affected town of Trinidad (Gunnedah), at noon Saturday in search of water from traffic, the Daily Telegraph reported.

It is reported that due to the drought disaster in Trinidad, townspeople have left bowls of water under some trees on golf courses and residential areas.

Around 1 noon today, a koala climbed down a tree near the main road, hovering around the sidewalk, then crossing the road to the opposite golf course.

Photographer Loremer (Peter Lorimer), from Newcastle (Newcastle), was visiting relatives when he saw the koala cross the road when his paws were burned by a hot tar road. Five to six drivers saw signs to make way for the koala.

Lolimo said it was unusual to find koala in the center of the town at noon. The weather is too hot.

It is reported that Trinidad was once the world's famous koala capital, but in recent years, the number of koalas here has decreased.
