According to the notorious extramarital website Ashley Madison, more than 30, 000 married people in Australia do not cheat on their spouses every month.

According to Radio 9, Ashley Madison is a social networking site dedicated to making friends and dating services for married people, with the slogan "Life is too short, find an affair."

, Ashley Madison's website was hacked in 2015, leaving up to 16 gigabytes of private user data, triggering suicide. Nevertheless, there are still a large number of Australian residents registered as website users.

Last year, an audit of Ashley Madison by Ernst & Young showed that an average of nearly 12000 Australian residents registered on the site every month.

In an interview with Radio 9, Ashley Madison Vice President of Public Relations, Kiabel (Paul Keable), said Australia was a "key" market. Preliminary estimates of more than 30,000 extramarital affairs occur in Australia every month.

When asked how to quantify the data, Kiabel said it was based on the data the site users received and responded to.
