Thirty-five TW people at Brisbane airport were blocked from entry by Australian Border Room(ABF)officials as involved in the``boiler room scheme`` .

Boiler room scam refers to a scam that deceives investors into participating in fake projects by telephone.

On May 11, four TW people flew from Taipei to Brisbane airport and were censored by border guards, Mirage News reported. During the review, Border Guard officials locked in five other TW passengers.

There is evidence that the relevant people came to Australia to participate in fraud activities.

Nine people have been cancelled visas and are currently subject to detain and will be deported.

On May 12, six more people flew from Taipei to Brisbane and were detain.

A follow-up survey found that 20 other foreigners were preparing to come to Australia to participate in fraud. Authorities have alerted the people concerned to prevent them from entering the country.

Boiler room scams usually involve foreigners who come to Australia on student or tourist visas and are forced to live in harsh conditions and engage in telephone fraud. Unscrupulous people can get a lot of money through such a scam.

The border guard`s Kunzhou district commander, Price (Terry Price), said the border guard was ready to identify and crack down on such illegal tourists. (Zhai Longwei)
