An Australian law student allegedly raped a young woman in his dorm room while she was asleep during early self-study.
The 27-year-old was dining with the 19-year-old victim in the University of Brisbane's dormitory on Wednesday night after two people went out for about four and an half an hour, according to the Daily Mail. It is reported that they returned to the man's room on Thursday morning and the two sides were busy with their academic tasks. Soon, the woman fell asleep.
Allegedly, the man climbed to the woman's side, began to touch her, then took off her clothes and continued to kiss her breast. Then, he tried to sexually assault, during which the woman woke up, but fear had to continue pretending to fall asleep.
Police said the woman moved her body to avoid the man's touch, but the man continued to kiss and put her finger into the woman's lower body. Later, the man redressed the woman and drove her home later.
On the same day, the woman went to a medical center and hospital for treatment, and then reported the case. The man claimed that the two men did not have sex, he just took off the woman's shirt, did some "romantic things." It is alleged that the man is sorry, he told the woman that she drank too much wine.
It is reported that the man knows that she and the victim are only friends, and that the woman already has a boyfriend, she wants to keep her virginity until she gets married.
On Friday, men attended the Brisbane Magistracy, charged with rape, systematic rape and indecent assault. He was released on bail, including no contact with the victim.
