"I ran over and drenched the water with a pipe. The fire was so big that it spread all over the place. So I climbed up and broke a window. We climbed into the house and rescued her. She's bleeding, but she's fine. We were pleased that the man (referring to the old woman's son) had nothing to do with it. "

It is understood that both the old woman and her son received on-the-spot treatment for inhalation of smoke, minor injuries and were taken to (Liverpool Hospital), Liverpool Hospital

The top floor of the house was burned to rubble, and investigators are investigating the cause of the fire.
