For the past 20 years, Brad Martell, a disabled person living in southeastern Melbourne, has been feeding birds in his backyard, the Daily Mail reported. But what Martell didn't expect was that he got a ticket for it.

Local council officials said they had been observing Martell's behaviour for weeks and eventually decided to issue A $200 in fines. Moreover, the Martell will have to go to court for this, and the final fine could even amount to A $1000.
"I started with ducks and then a lot of birds flew in to eat," Martell said. Although Martell has found "great fun" in feeding birds, his neighbors are very unhappy about it.

Neighbors complained to the Bayside City Council that Martell's behaviour attracted a large number of birds, leaving their yard unusable.
It is reported that the Martell will appear on June 26, the final fine could be as high as A $1000.
