Qantas is changing its way of killing passengers again! Meals, entertainment, check-in luggage are charged extra!

(Qantas), the Australian airline, plans to change its pricing model and may charge extra for meals, entertainment and checked-in luggage.

The move could see Qantas offer a fare called "basic economy class," which offers only the most streamlined services, (Australian Business Traveller) reported.

It is reported that this reform proposal appeared in an investigation sent by Qantas to its Qantas advisory panel, which is a frequent passenger group limited to invitees. They are regularly surveyed about the future direction of the flying kangaroo airline.

This new pricing model is linked to British airlines (British Airways), Virgin, Atlanta, (Virgin Atlantic), New Zealand Airlines (Air New Zealand) and American Airlines (American Airlines),. Delta Airlines (Delta) and United Airlines (United airlines) provide similar.

Under the new pricing plan, passengers will initially have to pay for basic fares and then select additional check-in luggage, food and drink, on-board entertainment and seat-picking value-added services depending on their personal needs.

Qantas has always prided itself on the full service of every passenger on board, meaning that each passenger can enjoy a meal and check-in luggage for free.

A spokesman for Qantas told 9NEWS: "We conduct regular surveys with our advisory groups to solicit their feedback on a range of ideas and themes. We have been looking for ways to improve the customer experience, but there are no plans to roll out this change at this stage. "
