An online furniture retailer in New Zealand will enter the Australian market, the Daily Mail reported. The company promised to save millions of Australian dollars for Australian customers.

It is reported that New Zealand e-commerce company Container Door will enter the Australian market, for Australian customers to provide factory prices of large-scale furniture supplies, including beds, luxury recliners and so on.

According to the company's description, its services are equivalent to "purchasing furniture from the factory itself, but without the need for cumbersome shipping documents, commodity excise taxes and import duties".

It is reported that Australian customers can place orders on the site, but the purchase of goods need to wait until the container full before they will be shipped to Australia and delivery, so there is a delay. But according to Container Door, goods are typically delivered within six to eight weeks of purchase.

The company has saved more than A $29 million over the past three years for 95,999 New Zealand residents, its official website said.

It is understood that, Container Door will first enter the Sydney market and expand to other cities in the coming months. In addition to traditional furniture, the site has sold outdoor garden suits, surfboards, barbeques, kayaks and more.
