KFC celebrates 50th anniversary of landing in Australia: free fried chicken and giant Sydney harbor chicken bucket

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of KFC's landing in Australia, a huge chicken barrel was erected at the Sydney roundabout at (Circular Quay) on Friday.

Thousands of KFC enthusiasts are expected to gather at the harbor between noon and 3 p.m., as the super fast-food chain marks the moment.

This 6-meter-high, 7-meter-wide bucket stands on the edge of the international passenger terminal.

One DJ broadcast music for the past 50 years while KFC presented participants with a "limited edition 50th anniversary fried chicken bucket" for free raw chicken.

On April 27, 1968, the world-famous KFC launched "KFC Fried Chicken" in Guildford, with only 25 employees at the beginning of KFC in Australia.
