Adelaide Hero Doctor in Thai Cave Rescue touched the World once again! Free operation for Asian infrequent baby girls!

For some time now, our doctors in Adelaide seem to be synonymous with moving the world!

In June, Adelaide anesthesiologist Dr. RichardHarris, despite his own safety, resolutely flew to Thailand Cave to save the next entire juvenile football team;

In July, Adelaide plastic surgeon JohnGreenwood flew to Greece to treat the 10 patients most seriously injured in the Athens wildfire.

Now, Dr. Xenia Doorenbosch at Adelaide Women's and Children's Hospital is bringing Asian girls with rare diseases to Adelaide for free treatment!

Lam Ngyuen, a two-year-old from Vietnam, has Kruzon syndrome.

This is a rare hereditary syndrome characterized by premature closure of the cranial suture, maxillary dysplasia and exophthalmos.

Young Ngyuen and her mother have recently arrived in Adelaide and are about to undergo surgery that can change her life!

Under the leadership of Dr. Doorenbosch, the hospital's neurosurgeon, the entire team of doctors will perform two operations on Ngyuen.

The first operation will create more space behind her skull, and two weeks later, a second operation will ensure that her brain grows as she grows.

Dr. Doorenbosch says surgery is important to save Ngyuen's life!

"the disease not only affects their growth and development, but can also be life-threatening."

"it also affects their eyesight, and in some cases, some children have become blind as a result."

Ngyuen's mother expressed her gratitude to the doctors that she hoped the surgery would improve Ngyuen's quality of life.

"I just want her to go to school like the other kids after the surgery."

Dr. Adelaide's surgery for Ngyuen is understood to be part of a humanitarian program at the hospital's craniofacial region.

The program selects 15 international cases a year and operates on them free of charge.

"it's great that we can help not only patients from Australia, but also other international patients," Doorenbosch said.

"We are very lucky because we can use professional equipment," Dr. Dollenbosch said.

"most importantly, we can use these professional equipment to provide specialized services to unfortunate patients from all over the world."

Suddenly feel that the world is so beautiful, full of love!
