After coming to Australia, pushing the trash can once a week has become our daily routine, but do you sometimes forget to bring it back?
You may have received a notice of infringement from the local council as a result!
On Wednesday, a young Australian woman, Millie, received an infringement notice from Parliament for failing to collect the trash can in time.
The local Yarra council had "a 24-hour time limit on having to withdraw the trash can," so the Millie received notice of infringement two hours after the limit was exceeded.
But Millie says there are even more serious problems in this street! The Council turned a blind eye to my garbage can!
"my trash can is nothing compared to the more serious drug dealer trade!"
Angry Millie added that they are often targeted by authorities for such small things.
"my roommate and I have been fined hundreds of Australian dollars over the past six months for parking in front of my house."
"but when we walk to the supermarket and go to the coffee shop, the drug trade happens next to us, some people are even on the street shoot, but those people don't get into trouble."
Some people came forward in support of Millie's statement:
"the Yarra Council seems to be happy to find such an innovative way to fine residents who do not retrieve garbage cans in time, and to open parking tickets with enthusiasm! But only to maintain law and order. "
However, there are also some residents who support the parliamentary approach.
"Why leave the trash can on the street? If you abide by the rules and regulations, there will certainly be no problem! "
