The average Victorian spends more than 2000 a month! How much you spend depends on where you live.

Average Australians spend more than 2100 yuan a month on critical expenses, the Herald Sun reports.

It is reported that the Herald Sun has recently obtained exclusive data on Australian spending, which gives us an idea of where the money is going, and shows that how much you spend depends largely on where you live.

State consumers spent an average of $2112.66 a month between April and June, according to a National Bank of Australia study.

Most of the expenses are spent on retail goods, including commodities, electronics, hardware and clothing, which cost about 400 yuan a month.

Real estate and employment costs an average of about 300 yuan a month, while renovation, maintenance and other construction costs reach nearly 240 yuan.

This data is based on NAB consumer transaction data, including EFTPOS, credit cards, BPay, bank transfers, debit cards and PayPal.

Cash payments, government services, taxes, housing and other loans are not included.

The results show that:

Stonnington (3618 yuan), Bayside (3413 yuan), Boroondara (3172 yuan), Port Phillip (3100 yuan) and Yarra (2653 yuan) are the largest spending areas in Victoria.

Rural Victoria has the highest electricity, gas and water charges. Living in Gannawarra (231 yuan), Wellington (145 yuan), Mildura (129 yuan), Moyne (129 yuan), South Gippsland (128 yuan) and other places government area residents such as the highest costs.

Mansfield (139 yuan), Stonnington (115 yuan), Boroondara (109 yuan), Nillumbik (109 yuan) and Murrindindi (103 yuan) are the highest cost of car and various equipment maintenance and personal services including beauty salon weight loss and funeral.

Plumbers, electricians, painters' salaries and other construction costs hit residents in Nillumbik (374yuan), Banyule (350yuan), large Dandenong district (345yuan), Moonee Valley (331yuan) and Hobsons Bays (320yuan.

Residents of Stonnington (241 yuan), Port Phillip (186 yuan), Yarra (185 yuan), Bayside (183) and Boroondara (168 yuan) spend the most on accommodation, coffee shops, hotels, restaurants and takeout stores.

For Stonnington ($241), Moyne ($212), Loddon ($197), Melbourne ($193) and Corangamite ($193), lawyers, accountants, veterinarians and other professions, science and technology services are also a big expense.

Alan Oster, chief economist at NAB, said high-income consumers tend to spend the most on all fronts because they have more money to spend.

For Australia as a whole, the direction of consumption has begun to shift away from unnecessary discretionary spending, Oster said.

"in general, we have found that consumers are spending less and less on those unnecessary retail sectors. This has happened in the last two or three years. Wage growth is not big, and house prices are no longer rising, all kinds of electricity and gas costs are on the increase, we do not feel so rich. They pay to see a doctor, give their children an education and fuel a car, because it's all a necessary expense. But they don't spend a lot of money on unnecessary things, but having a cup of coffee at a coffee shop makes them happier. This trend will continue unless wages rise again. "
