More than half of Sydney people are not satisfied with their nighttime life, calling for a reassessment of the curfew law

The curfew policy in Sydney, Australia, has been controversial. According to the latest data report, more than half of Sydney people are not satisfied with night entertainment, and many Sydney people therefore call on the new state government to introduce new official posts. Such as "Night Mayor" (night mayor) or "Night Economic Director" (minister for night-time economy) to improve Sydney's nightlife, make Sydney a favorite city of all ages.

(Commission for a Night-time Economy, a member of the Sydney committee's nighttime economics committee, spent a year studying in hopes of finding effective ways to improve the nightlife of Sydney's CBD and the wider region.

Less than half of the residents of the Greater Sydney region are satisfied with their nighttime leisure and entertainment, according to a study released by the agency.

Since 2014, debates over Sydney's nightlife have eluded CBD's curfew and alcohol-fuelled violence.

While welcoming the state's 2016 curfew law, the report also expressed concerns that long-term enforcement of the law could adversely affect the reputation of Sydney's international cities. To that end, the report recommends that the new state government reassess the pros and cons of curfews.

In addition, the report recommends extending the opening hours of shops on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as opening hours for public transport, museums and art galleries.

In response, Sydney committee chairman Ross (Michael Rose) said poor urban planning and transportation failed to create a vibrant nightlife zone in Sydney. Despite Sydney's many unique activities, such as the White Night Festival and the Lunar New year celebrations, the city still has a lot of room for development.

He also said it was important to appoint an independent coordinator, such as the "Night Mayor" or "Night Economic Director" to consider how to maximize the interests of Sydney residents.
