Visit the 'secret garden' hidden in the Blue Mountain.

There are many "secret" gardens in the Blue Mountains that are not only "Three Sisters" and "Echoes".

They are western-style gardens, and they are the elegant products of European immigrants in the last century. Although it is a hundred years old, it is still well preserved to this day, and it is hidden behind the vast blue mountain. So today Jiazi will bypass the Blue Mountain popular attractions, and take you to explore the Blue Mountain area of the "secret garden." The Blue Mountain area is about an hour's drive from downtown Sydney. The Blue Mountain is a collection of plateaus and range, known as the Blue Mountain because of the number of eucalyptus trees growing on the mountain and the gas released by leaves gathering in the mountains, forming a layer of blue mist. There are several small towns in the Blue Mountain area, the most famous of which are Katoomba, Leura.. There may also be red leaves in the small town of Mount Wilson, which has been more and more popular in the parade industry in recent years. But in fact, the Blue Mountain area is always appropriate to watch the four seasons. Each season has her unique beauty, as long as you come not to take your heart slowly:) in China, we have the Northern Royal Garden, Jiangnan Garden, Lingnan Garden and Bashu Garden; In Australia, the style of gardens is mostly the product of the first generation of European immigrants.

. In Blue Mountain, every October there will be a grand Garden Festival, many well-preserved historic buildings and private or public gardens open to the public. A total of more than 10 gardens are available each year in the Leura area alone. Tickets are not expensive either. You can buy tickets to visit more than 10 gardens in one go, or you can only visit the most beautiful and telling gardens. The following Jiazi recommended a few of the most amorous "secret garden":

1 Evergrets Garden

The 1930 garden was originally owned by Henri Van de Velde (Van de Velde, born in Brussels, with a nobleman's surname at first sight. (Everglades Garden, though not the oldest of the many gardens in Blue Hills, But it can be said to be the most continental. Whether it's the water spray pool (cover photo), the teahouse, or the furnishings everywhere in the garden, it's all about the vulgarity of European immigrants.

(pictured above is my October 2014 trip to photo in Everglades Gardens) this hovering path to the sea of flowers is really beautiful. Only at this moment to realize the Chinese idiom, lingering forget the true meaning of return. At that time really was not enough ah, how other people can not drag me away.

A corner of Everglades Garden

The above picture quite has Suzhou garden "moving step by step" artistic technique. Standing at the vines window in the garden you can look out at the Blue Mountain, and the blue mountain clouds in the vines and windows look like a complete European oil painting.

②The Hydro Majestic Hotel

This place is not strictly a garden, but a hotel. It's just that since we've just talked about the landscape art of "changing the landscape," and the enjoyment of people in the middle of the painting, I have to recommend you to have a high tea afternoon tea at this house. Blue Mountain area has a lot of not surprising appearance, but it has a century of history of hotels and scenic spots. This hotel is no exception. Choosing a window seat here for afternoon tea or brunch and coffee is the business.

The hotel is located on the cliff of Megalong Valley, sitting near the window for afternoon tea and inadvertently looking out of the window to see the mountains and clouds of the Blue Mountain area.

Although the comments on tripadvisor say that the hotel's rooms are slightly stale, if the hotel room had such a view, who would care about this little bit of stale ~ just visiting the historic sites? O ha ~

3Nooroo Garden

One of the secret garden of, Mount Wilson in Blue Mountain area. It was built by William (William Hay) in 1880. For nearly a century since 1917, the private garden has changed hands several times. From late April to May every year, Nooroo Garden and several nearby gardens are good places for (Mount Wilson) to enjoy autumn and red leaves. And in the spring from August to the end of November, the Ivy, Camellia, Magnolia, cloves and peony blossoms, there will be spring-specific vitality and aroma.

(autumn Nooroo Garden)

(summer Nooroo Garden)

4Breenhold Garden

Secret garden bis of Mount Wilson in Blue Mountain region. The reason I call them secret garden is that when we think of Blue Mountain, we usually think of "three Sisters", "Corner of Echo", "Blue Mountain National Park" and other attractions that have been overdeveloped by travel agencies. Without local leadership, you probably won't find these gardens hidden in the quiet town of (Mount Wilson), Mount Wilson. It's a "secret." Spring and autumn are their most beautiful times. It is the most romantic thing to come here in late autumn to see all kinds of red yellow leaves.

5Bebeah Garden

Secret garden ter of Mount Wilson in Blue Mountain region. Bebeah is one of the largest primitive gardens / manors in Mt.Wilson., Edward Cox built the garden in 1880. The name Bebeah is believed to have come from the indigenous language "the Land of the Stone Tomahawk". The current owner, Bailey Barne, has over the past 19 years made the garden one of the majestic and grand-designed rare country gardens in Australia. Therefore, the garden is not only the secular view of Suzhou Garden, small bridge and flowing water, but has more historical and social context under the connotation and form. Even Western gardens sometimes coincide with the use of similar artistic techniques to Suzhou gardens. From a number of perspectives, it is also the garden, step-by-step landscape change, scattered perspective of the effect and garden spirit. Written here, a text recited when I was a child immediately came to my mind. Ye Shengtao's Suzhou Garden: the architecture of our country, from ancient palaces to modern ordinary houses, is mostly symmetrical. What about the left and the right. Suzhou gardens can never pay attention to symmetry, as if deliberately avoided. There will be a pavilion or a corridor in the east, and there will never be the same pavilion or the same corridor in the west. Why? I think, to use the picture for example, the symmetrical architecture is the pattern painting, not the fine art painting, and the garden is the art painting, the art painting demands the natural interest, is not to pay attention to symmetry. After reading this section, think back to the bad government garden I went to, stay garden, net master garden, Shen Yuan, and compare the blue mountain "secret garden" in front of my eyes. If so, that's the truth:)

In Blue Mountain, Sydney, and even Australia, there are a lot of places where you need to sink your heart and take a deep swim. It's not just getting on the bus to sleep, getting out of the car and taking pictures. The Blue Mountain area is also a spring, summer, autumn and winter, a place where heavy makeup is always appropriate:) in addition to the "secret garden" and the natural scenery, there are interesting antique shops and weekend bazaars in the small town of the Blue Mountain area. We'll save it and share it next time.
