Trump today sent a letter to Kim Jong-un through international media abandoning a special cash conference planned for June 12 in Singapore.

Dear Chairman,
We thank you very much for your time, patience and effort in facilitating the meeting scheduled for 12 June in Singapore. This meeting has been sought by both sides for a long time, and there have been many negotiations and consultations recently. We were told that the meeting was initiated by North Korea, but it was irrelevant to us. I was looking forward to meeting you there. Unfortunately, based on the extreme anger and open hostility shown in your recent statement, I find it inappropriate to hold this long-awaited meeting at this time.
