According to the Perth Times, the Perth-Bloom (Broome) discount ticket offered by Qantas (Qantas) will be available from next month, reflecting signs that the (Kimberley) tourism industry in the Kimberley area is growing.

Western Australia Governor McGovern (Mark McGowan) said about 2000 tickets had been snapped up since the launch of Qantas's Perth-Bloom (Broome) discount ticket in May.

The ticket prices are reported to be A $199 per trip during the peak season (August 17 to October 16 and June 21 to August 17 next year) and A $179 one way during the off season (October 17 to June 20 next year).

McGovern said the state government is working with Bloom companies to ensure that travelers who buy discount tickets can also benefit from discounts offered by local merchants to create a more affordable holiday.

McGovern encouraged Bloom businesses and tour operators to participate. Local companies need to seize the opportunity, he said, and all they need to do is make sure they have products that attract tourists.

McGovern said he looks forward to the revival of tourism in Bloom and the whole Kimberley region, which means more jobs will be available to local residents.
