According to the Sydney Morning Herald, there are likely to be as many as 12 sites on the western route of (Metro West), between Balamata (Parramatta) and Westmee (Westmead), between Sydney's inner city and the inner city of Sydney.

Fafas Media (Fairfax Media) learned that the Western Rail Line plans to use both the extra track and the (overtaking lines), which can be used by express trains between Bharamata and the city, as well as trains parked at multiple new stations. It is understood that the Hong Kong Airport Train Line is using this approach. According to the detailed plan announced this year, there may be 8 / 12 stations on the Western MTR Line, but it is not clear whether they will all be set up.

According to the plan of former New State Governor Baird (Mike Baird), the western track was launched in the second half of 2020 and completed in the next decade, in an effort to strengthen the development of the area around Balamata and the Olympic Park (Olympic Park).

According to the government's population projections, the "GPOP area" (from Bharamata to Olympia) expects a population of 280000 by 2041, similar to the current population of East Sydney (extending from the inner and western regions to the Bondi junction). But compared to East Sydney, the "GPOP area" lacks civilian infrastructure and relatively few jobs.

The report also found that nearly 60 percent of East Sydney residents commute or walk to work by public transport, compared with 35 percent in the GPOP area. As a result, some argue that health and education facilities in the "GPOP area" should be significantly increased, such as increasing the number of local schools to 57 by 2041.

Berge (David Borger), director of the Sydney Chamber of Commerce (Sydney Business Chamber) in West Sydney, said it was good to have such ambitions for the "GPOP area", but that the local infrastructure was still inadequate.
