Australian shark bites 33-year-old male tourist! Tourism hotspots become dead areas

According to the Brisbane Times, a shark attack in, Whitsunday Islands Cid Harbour killed a man. In September, two people in the area were attacked by sharks for 24 hours.

A rescue worker who has been involved in two previous shark attacks said Monday night's attack was "the worst."

The victim was a 33-year-old Victorian tourist. Just after 05:30 on Monday afternoon, the tourist jumped off a yacht and swam. His left thigh, right leg and left wrist were all bitten.

RACQ CQ Rescue rescue worker Ben McCauley said the man's injuries were "very terrible".

The RACQ CQ Rescue helicopter placed the medical team in the northwest-northwest area of Whitsunday Island.

The victim was pulled on a yacht, a small boat carrying a paramedic and a rescue team member to help.

McCauley said: "he was very seriously injured, bleeding a lot of blood, and he had symptoms of heart failure. When we arrived, there was a Hamilton Island paramedic," he said. Two off-duty doctors and an emergency nurse on a nearby ship are working. "

In less than 45 minutes, the seriously injured man was subjected to two cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before being taken ashore to a helicopter to Mackay Base Hospital. Around 8 p. M., the man was taken to the hospital, in critical condition.

Police later confirmed that the man died in hospital.

Cid Harbour is the hot spot of tourism in the northern part of Kunzhou. It is now notorious for shark attacks.

In September, Hannah Papps, a 12-year-old Melbourne girl, and Justine Barwick, a 46-year-old tourist from Tasmania, were attacked by sharks. Then four tiger sharks were killed.

Fairfax Media did not respond to Monday night's shark attack when it contacted Queensland fishing Tuesday morning.

At the time of the shark attack in September, the Kunzhou fishing industry issued a statement warning that Cid Harbour waters were not suitable for swimming.

"during the holidays, we call on everyone to be careful to stay away from these waters and not to throw food residue into the water from the boat."
