Persons from 53 countries who hold valid international travel documents and fixed dates within 144 hours and travel to a third country (region) for a joint passenger ticket may enter without visa from the relevant ports of the above-mentioned cities, in Xiamen City, Qingdao City and Wuhan City, respectively. Which countries are targeted at such a visa-free?

According to a responsible person of the State Immigration Administration, the 144-hour transit visa-free policy for foreigners in five cities, including Xiamen, is a further optimization of the current 72-hour transit visa-free policy.

First, the visa-free stay time was extended from the original 72 hours to 144 hours.

Second, the entry and exit ports have been added, and visa-free transit personnel can enter and exit from Xiamen Airlines and Port, Qingdao Port, Wuhan Port, Chengdu Port and Kunming Port respectively.

In addition, from December 28, 2018, Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, three provinces and cities also linked to the implementation of some of the country's 144-hour transit visa-free policy.

Foreigners from 53 countries around the world, including Australia and New Zealand, can choose from Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing Railway West Terminal Port, Tianjin and Hebei International Airport, International Cruise Port and so on. According to the rule, the 144-hour transit visa-free policy is intended for foreigners crossing the border to a third country or area, so the departure and destination countries must be different.

Examples:

A) the policy is not applicable when returning from Australia to Beijing.

B) Cross-border Beijing from Australia to Thailand, can apply this policy.

C) from Australia to Singapore to Beijing to Australia, this policy is applicable.
