Sydney Headham to Pennsylvania light rail may be under construction

The New State Planning Office approved the (Metro) line from Sydney Headham (Sydenham) to (Bankstown), Pennsylvania, and an increasing number of heavy equipment began to be located in Sydney City and related areas in the south-west.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the Sydney Rail Board (Sydney Metro Authority) recently approved an application to adapt the 13-kilometer rail track from Hedham to Binse to meet the needs of the city railway.

Sydney City Railway Bureau is the new state government set up, responsible for the construction of urban rail department. The rail line from Mount Ruth (Rouse Hill) to Pennsylvania is expected to be completed in 2024.

After the opening of the MTR, the train of the Penn Town Line will not be in parallel with the Airport Line and train on the Inner West Route, but will instead open a new route directly through the (Sydney Harbour) tunnel in Sydney Harbour. Train parallelism is now a common cause of delays.

It is reported that the rail line will be located on (Waterloo), Pitt Street, Waterloo, (Pitt St), Martin Square, (Martin Place), Balangaru, (Barangaroo), Victoria Cross (Victoria Cross) and Raven Nest (Crows Nest), and will be connected to Chechi Live (Chatswood). At that time, Binshi Town Rail daily rush hour, two-way will have 15 trains per hour.

It is reported that the traditional railway to adapt to the city railway, need to upgrade the rail, station, marking and testing. The Sydney Railway Board said in a proposal that the existing train services would be affected during the rail renovation, but that train would continue to operate for most of the construction period.

Sydney Rail also said up to three train stations would be temporarily closed for up to two months at the time of construction, when train would bypass the stations and be replaced by buses for train services.

In order to meet the needs of urban rail construction, at present, the bus replaces train service between Yiping (Epping) and Chechuo. As the first phase of Sydney Rail, starting early next year, the rail between Mount Russ and Chechosh will be put into operation.
