In the emergency department of a major hospital in Sydney, the Sydney Morning Herald reported that critically ill patients who were supposed to be treated within 10 minutes waited more than an hour, making it the worst emergency department in the new state.

According to the new state health information bureau (BHI) winter report, Westmead hospital (Westmead Hospital) emergency department treatment time is the worst in the state.

The recommended time for treatment of life-threatening patients in urgent need, such as very severe pain, chest pain or respiratory problems, is 10 minutes, however, in the accident and emergency department of the hospital, The duration of the patient waiting for treatment is 1 hour, 20 minutes, or more.

Overall, the hospital's emergency department had 55 percent of patients, or 10547 patients, waiting too long for treatment, up 8.8 percent from last winter's severe flu season. This situation is mainly due to the most serious emergency department in the hospital, the most complex of the increase in the number of patients.

State-wide, this winter, the new state hospital emergency department received a total of 694051 patients, a decrease of 23194 compared with 2017. Some hospitals, including (Blacktown), Sutherland (Sutherland) in Perak and St. George (St George), have increased their time in emergency departments. Treatment time for patients in the emergency department of Binghtown-Lidcomm Hospital (Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital) has been reduced by 10% compared with last year.
