China Southern Airlines has added new direct flights to Keynes and Brisbane respectively, and Chinese tourists may surge.

Two new direct routes between China and Queensland could see a surge in the number of tourists from China.

One is China Southern Airlines' Guangzhou-Keynes, which landed on Tuesday and will run three shifts a week.

China Southern is a member of the alliance and code-sharing partner of Australian Airlines, previously only seasonal flights to Keynesian routes, mainly during Christmas and the Chinese New year.

The CZ333, which landed in Keynes at 7:45 on Tuesday, was executed by Airbus A330, 300 B08358, and flew for seven and a half hours. Thereafter, this route will be carried out at a fixed time throughout the year.

The president of Keynes Airport said direct flights from Guangzhou would allow more overseas tourists to visit Keynes without having to travel through other Australian airports.

In addition, Hainan Airlines will open a direct flight from Shenzhen to Keynes at the end of December.

The other is Air China's Beijing-Brisbane, which will start every Thursday in mid-December, Federal Trade Minister Steve Ciobo said Tuesday.
