The price of prescription drugs in Australia has been raised since New Year's Day, and the price of passport supplement has also increased.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the price of prescription drugs will rise in the coming year, although some Australians will cut their electricity bills.

Drug prices in the (PBS), Australia's drug welfare subsidy scheme, are set to rise next Tuesday, prompting patients in Australia to prescribe drugs before they go up.

Starting January 1, the price of a prescription will rise from A $39.5 to A $40.3, while the price of each prescription for (Concession) patients will rise by 10 percent.

In addition, New Year's Day day, overseas lost passports of Australian tourists, will have to pay more fees for the replacement passport. Among them, the price of a 10-year passport rose by A $11, and the cost of a five-year passport for children and 75-year-olds also increased by A $6.

But the good news is that in the new year, women's health goods will be cheaper after waiving the 10% (GST) tax on goods and services. Meanwhile, in New State, Capital Territory, Kunzhou and South Australia, holders of permanent pricing (Standing Offer) or (Concession Card) cards participating in non-discount programs will automatically receive a 10 percent discount from January 1.
