Introduction

Located in downtown Melbourne, the capital of Victoria, Rod Laver Arena is the main venue for the Australian Open, one of the four Grand Slams. Completed in 1988, the court has been the home of the Australian Open, with a maximum capacity of 14,820 spectators, one of the highest seats in the world.
