Introduction

Ninety Mile Marine National Park is a marine conservation park in the eastern state of Victoria, a marine conservation park composed of about 27.5 square kilometers of land along the sea and about 5 kilometers of coastline.

Ninety Mile Beach Marine National Park is about 240km from Melbourne, the capital of Victoria, and 30km from the town of (Sale), north of (Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park), Gypsland Marine Park.

The coastal or dune landscape of Ninety Mile Beach Marine National Park was formed in the Glacier Age, when the sea level was lower than it is now, while the vast beach plains extend in all directions below the surface of the water. However, the beach here is not as monotonous as the surface looks; wave action and tide divide sand particles into different categories and levels, while surface characteristics such as soil hills and waves are the result of animal activity and wave action. There are no rocky headlands or platforms on the coast, and there are only sporadic reef belts offshore, periodically covered with sand.

There are many marine organisms in the vast subtidal sand of this area, which is one of the most biodiversity areas on the earth. Thousands of different species grow and multiply here. The unique sandy habitat here includes rare tubular building worms, small molluscs and many microcrustaceans.
