Introduction

Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum is located in Bathurst., a small town in (The Central West), west-central New South Wales.

Founded in 2004 in a school building built in 1876, Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum showcases the lifetime collection of Warren Somerville (Warren Somerville). As a unique educational resource, the museum now has more than 2000 fossil and mineral specimens. At two permanent main pavilions: fossil Gallery and Mineral Gallery. The museum houses quartz crystals from more than 100 places in Australia, garnet from 2 billion years ago, and diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds and a variety of gemstones from all over the world. The most representative collection of fossils in the museum is Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, Australia's largest amber fossils, dinosaur eggs fossils and so on.

In addition, the museum also has temporary exhibition space and gift shops.
