Australian Centre for Photography is located in Darling Hurst (Darlinghurst), a community east of Sydney, the capital of New South Wales, about 2 kilometers from downtown Sydney.

Australian Centre for Photography is Australia's leading photography theme art museum, is the exhibition, promotion and understanding of photography practice knowledge distribution center.

Founded in 1973, Australian Centre for Photography helps viewers understand and discuss the role of photography in visual culture by providing exhibitions, training and community activities. Over the past 40 years, it has presented diverse creative projects at home and internationally to provide creativity for the development of Australian cultural life.
