Tesselaar Tulip Festival is held every year from mid-September to mid-October in Sylvain (Silvan), a small town in (Yarra Valley), Victoria's famous wine-producing region, for a period of four weeks.
Sylvain is about 50 kilometers by car from Melbourne, the capital of Victoria, and about 30 kilometers from Healesville, the core town of the Yala Valley. It is picturesque and famous for its tulips.
Tesselaar Tulip Festival was first held in 1954 and has become one of Victoria's iconic tourist festivals. During the festival, more than 100 kinds of tulips will bloom on more than 10 hectares of flower fields and stroll through the flowers as if they were in a colorful ocean.
