The Mayfield Garden is located in the (Oberon) area of Oberon, in the eastern part of New South Wales, about 190km from Sydney, the capital of New South Wales.
Mayfield Garden is located on more than 800 hectares of farms, including the Mayfield Garden and Hawkins family private gardens (Hawkins' Family Garden), over 64 hectares), the world's rare large private cold climate garden. The design and architecture of the garden is inspired by the English country manor.
Open 365 days a year, the dreamy "Water Garden" featuring water and stone views is the most popular feature garden with carved blue stone walls to guide visitors through waterfalls along winding trails. Features include water-dripping copper tree fountains, stone and steel ivy pavilions, British Indus shade trails, and charming blue stone bridges near waterfalls.
The Hawkins family's private garden, with the largest hedge maze in Australia, is normally closed to the outside world and is open only four times a year, a small portion of which is open during summer and winter celebrations. And in spring and autumn celebrations are fully open (including hedge labyrinth).
Mayfield Garden has a nursery where (The Nursery) grows a large number of cool-weather plants, and (Kitchen Caf é, a chef's cafe, which serves gourmet food, coffee, cold drinks and gifts, and visitors are welcome throughout the year.
