The Lancers is located in Paramat (Parramatta), the west sub-center of Sydney, the capital of New South Wales, about 20 kilometers from the city of Sydney.
The New South Wales Royal Cavalry (The Royal New South Wales Lancers) was founded in 1885 and participated in almost all wars in Australia. The history of the New South Wales Royal Cavalry is almost the same as that of the Australian Army. Founded in 1957, The Lancers was converted from (Lancer Barracks), the cavalry barracks in Paramat, and started out as a room. As the collection grew, it now occupied an entire building, including military uniforms, equipment, and horse gear. Weapons, photos, trophies, and more intriguing are genuine military vehicles including master station tanks, world war II machine guns, armored vehicles, and so on, which makes the museum a favorite for military enthusiasts.
