Introduction

The Captain Cook's Landing Place Cook ' s Landing Place is located south of Botany Bay National Park (Kamay Botany Bay National Park), south-east of Sydney, the capital of New South Wales, near Kounell.

Captain James Cook (Captain James Cook) and his 43 crew landed on the road for the first time in April 1770 and stayed for eight days. Before leave, Captain Cook held a flag-raising ceremony for the British flag and declared the East Coast of Australia to be owned by Britain in the name of King George III. Captain Cook's landing led to the arrival of Britain's first settlers on January 26,1788, and later the birth of Australia.

As a tribute to Captain Cook's landing, the Australian government has set up a stone-needle monument and a visitor's service centre at a landing site that is now part of the Botany Bay National Park to provide a better understanding of the history of Botany Bay and Australian pioneers.
