Introduction

Booderee National Park is located in the southern part of Jevis Bay (Jervis Bay), just south of Sydney, about 192 km from Sydney, just north to (Hyams Beach), the famous Hayms Beach, covering about 63 square kilometers. Founded in 1971, Booderee is an indigenous language that means "large gulfs" or "large seas."

Bodri National Park is popular in the area, with its pristine forests, pristine beaches and wild flora and fauna, as well as the tallest sea cliffs in New South Wales. The park has a path around the entire Pottery Peninsula (Booderee Peninsula), starting from the village of Wreck Bay on (Summercloud Bay) in Xia Yun Bay to the south of the park, winding all the way to Cape St. George's (St Georges Head), along the secluded beaches and forests. There is also a rocky cliff everywhere.

The most beautiful view of Bodri National Park is the Cape St. George's lighthouse, (Cape St George Lighthouse), an abandoned lighthouse located on the easternmost cliff edge of the National Park. The lighthouse observatory is not only a great place to see spectacular sea and cliff views, but also a place to see whale migration (June-July and September-November). St George's lighthouse is also the most important historic European monument in Booderee National Park.
