Fort Bourke Lookout is located on the southeastern outskirts of the town of Cobar, about 3 kilometers from the heart of the town of Cobar, and from the town of Cobar it is about a minute's drive from the town of Cobar along the Kidman Hwy,B87 highway to see the signs of the side of the road. Turn the corner for about two minutes to reach. Fort Bourke Lookout is located on the edge of a huge mine that is still in operation, where visitors can condescending and enjoy the magnificent mine. Large trucks carrying ore can be seen down the curved path down to the bottom of the mine before entering the cave.
