The coastal town of Anna Bay, located on the east coast of New South Wales at the port of Stephens, (Port Stephens), west of Stockton Sand Dunes, is about 32 kilometres long and 2-4 kilometres wide with a maximum height of 30 metres and an area of more than 4200 hectares. Is Australia's largest sand dune system, but also the southern hemisphere's largest coastal "wind-blown sand" terrain.
Stockton Sand Dunes began to accumulate about 6, 000 years ago, washed ashore by waves and blown inland, forming dunes of all sizes that move westward at a speed of about four meters a year. The long beach is suffocating, the long coastline is the blue sea on one side, the golden desert on the other, and the forest on the other, which is the famous "half sea and half desert". Sand dunes up to 30 meters high, sand sliding is the most popular activity here, there are many sand dunes up to 50 meters high, tilt up to 70 degrees, sitting on the sand skateboard high-speed sliding down, enjoy the feeling of unstoppable subduction. The Lower Car Park, southwest of Anna Bay, is the starting point for all of the groups. There are also camel and horse riding options, tickets can be purchased at the town's tourist center or at the parking lot.
