Introduction

The Heights Heritage House and Garden is located in Geelong., Victoria's second largest city.

The Heights Heritage House and Garden, a historic building on the Victorian Heritage list, has a wooden structure of about 800 square meters, surrounded by exquisite gardens, and is the largest prefabricated building of its kind in Victoria.

Built in 1854 by businessman Charles Aberson (Charles Ibbotson), The Heights Heritage House and Garden was shipped to Geelong, and assembled locally after production in Hamburg, Germany. The Albersons lived here until 1975, when they donated it to the Australian National Trust (National Trust of Australia), which was renovated and opened to the public.

The Heights Heritage House and Garden retains many of the mid-19th century glamour, stables, water towers, bedrooms and garages, all of which retain the original style of the time.
