Introduction

Located in the heart of Victoria's capital, Melbourne, Melbourne Central is a shopping mall built in 1991.

Melbourne Central is known for its unique architectural style, with a total height of 246m and an exterior triangular column. The building is designed by Kurokawa Architects in Japan and is full of futuristic style.

The bottom floor of the Melbourne Central building has built one of the world's largest tapered glass roofs, shaped by a glass cone, largely due to a hundred-year bullet manufacturing plant (The Coop') for the preservation of one of the buildings. The s Shot Tower), bullet factory, built in 1894, produced six tons of ammunition a week that year, and the bullet factory building, 50 metres high, could not be dismantled because the Australian government listed the building as a "historic building of value" in 1973. So the consortia who bought the land came up with an alternative, simply covering the building with a giant glass cone, which is now converted into a restaurant, a hot air balloon hanging from the roof and a glider, which has become a big selling point for the mall.

In addition to the tapered glass roof, another feature of the, Melbourne Central is the world's largest crane clock weighing up to 2000 kilograms, with beautiful pendants hanging from the inside of the clock at every full point, with children and parrots on it. And play an Australian folk song, lasting 4 minutes.

Melbourne Central has two large shopping malls across two streets, more than 200 fine shops, and (Dai Maru), the super-large Maru department store, has expanded into Melbourne's largest retail hub in recent years.
